Haiti - FLASH : Bahamasair resumes flights to Cap-Haitien

Bahamasair has announced the resumption of flights to Cap-Haitien, Haiti, after the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a notice allowing U.S. air carriers to resume flights only to the northern coast of Haiti https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-43680-icihaiti-notice-faa-eases-flight-ban-in-haiti.html

According to reports, the green light given by the FAA is based on a satisfactory assessment of flight safety at Cap-Haïtien International Airport.

Additionally, Bahamasair has also received confirmation from the Bahamas Embassy in Haiti that the Cap-Haitien airport and surrounding communities have remained incident-free prior to and following the November 11, 2024 incidents https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43614-haiti-flash-spirit-airlines-plane-hit-in-flight-by-several-bullets-video.html and https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43621-haiti-flash-us-airlines-banned-from-flying-over-haiti-for-30-days.html

Bahamasair said it will resume flights to and from Cap-Haïtien starting Tuesday, November 26, 2024, every Tuesday and Saturday.

The airline also thanked travelers for their patience during the last two weeks of flight suspensions and assured that those affected by the suspension of their flight can change their reservations without penalty by contacting the reservation center at 702-4140.
