Bandits attack from the sea

On the night of Sunday, November 26, 2023, armed bandits attacked "ça-Ira", a coastal town of Léogâne, from the sea. They took away two boats belonging to the NGO "Food for the Poor", a motorcycle and looted houses and shops according to testimonies from residents of the area.

Kenya needs 5,000 men

In his speech to the European Parliament on November 21, 2023, the President of Kenya, William Ruto, spoke of the need for around 5,000 men for the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS) in Haiti, to deal with gangs criminals who control part of the country (estimated at least 9,000 men). Ruto said "EU support will be key to strengthening the initiative, providing it with the necessary resources and legitimacy."
