Haiti - Health : First results of the operation «Tèt Poze, Kè Poze»
On October 10 on the occasion of the World Mental Health Day marked by the launch of the operation "Tèt Poze, Kè Poze", an initiative of the First Lady which consists to identify the mentally ill left to themselves in the streets, across the country, for a support by the specialized institutions. toll-free, the 177 is available to the public to report to the authorities, the presence of these sick people.
Since the launch of this program, fourteen mentally handicapped some of whom were nude in the streets and other very violent, have been picked up and taken to the Psychiatric Center of the street Oswald Durand, for medical care.
This approach participates to the will of the President to guarantee the rights of all social categories, as part of the rule of law, advocated by the President Martelly through its program based on the four E (in french), Employment, Environment, Employment and Rule of law.
