Haiti - FLASH : «Barbecue» threatens to overthrow the Government by force (Video)

Former police officer Jimmy Chérisier, alias "Barbecue" who became head of the most powerful coalition of gangs in Haiti "G9 family and allies" launched a violent threat against Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, claiming that the latter and his Government will be overthrown by force...

These statements took place during a demonstration organized by "Vivre Ensemble", which brought together members of several gangs in the metropolitan area. Barbecue explained that the demonstration was intended to test the waters and that a real armed battle against Ariel Henry would soon break out. In his remarks, "Barbecue" urged gang members not to use their weapons against the population, but to direct them against the power in place and its accomplices.

Furthermore, he announced that he considered financially supporting the construction work of the irrigation canal in Haiti with an outlet on the Masacre River, cause of the total closure of the borders of the Dominican Republic with Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-40503-haiti-flash-dr-closes-its-land-sea-and-air-borders-with-haiti-goods-and-passengers.html and also provide weapons, without however providing the slightest details on these 2 possibilities...

Worrying threats which arise in a context where rumors of takeover of government buildings, notably the National Palace and the official residence of the Prime Minister, are circulating, which adds to the growing concern of the population, for the security and the stability of the country...
