Haiti - Politic : Strengthening of the regulation of Technical and Vocational Schools and IES
With a view to complying with the new standards for the recognition of studies, diplomas and titles at the international level, on the one hand, and on the other hand within the framework of the actions in progress with a view to improving the governance of Technical and Vocational Training and Higher Education sub-sectors,
The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) informs that it will launch in October 2023, a general online census of Technical and Vocational Schools and Higher Education Institutions (IES ) operating across the country.
This action is in line with the implementation of the Law on the reorganization and modernization of technical and vocational training, and is a prelude to the establishment of the National Agency for Higher Education and Scientific Research (ANESRS) .
During this census, a fundamental step in national accreditation, the heads of institutions involved in technical and vocational training, and of IES, must also provide basic information on their establishment, the list members of the teaching staff with diplomas and certificates authorizing them to teach, the types of programs offered, the list of students according to their academic background and the list of students at the end of the session.
Online registration, during this census, is mandatory and required for any institution in order to introduce or finalize the accreditation procedure of the institutions concerned and their programs.
