Haiti - Diplomacy : The Ambassador of Haiti reiterates to the OAS his request for the intervention of a foreign force

Wednesday, February 1, 2023 Léon Charles the Ambassador of Haiti to the Organization of American States (OAS) speaking in the regular session of the OAS Permanent Council, sounded the alarm, deploring that the international community " has not yet taken the measure of the emergency that the Haitian people are facing" and reiterated that Haiti needed a foreign force to be sent to its territory to put an end to the violence underlining "To arrive at the elections , security is a fundamental condition [...] without the support of an international force on the ground, Haiti will not achieve the desired level of security."
