Haiti - Insecurity : The «5 seconds» gang attacks the facilities of Les Moulins d'Haiti

On the night of October 7 to 8, 2022, men from the "5 seconds" gang of the Village de Dieu led by Chief "izo" attacked the Moulins d'Haiti facilities located not far from Port Lafiteau, at the northern exit of Port au Prince.

Nearly fifty heavily armed individuals arrived by sea aboard a motorboat, quickly took control of the area and installed a leader to control the area. Local residents alerted the police authorities to intervene...

The maritime police made an attempt at deterrence before retreating off the Port of Lafiteau under heavy fire from the aggressors.

The attack on Les Moulins d'Haiti, began in the morning paralyzing the economic activities of the area, the terrified population locked themselves in their house against a background of bursts of automatic weapons.

At Moulins d'Haiti, the security agents who protect the facilities are besieged and cut off from any reinforcements, the bandits having blocked the road leading to the village near Les Moulins d'Haiti at Canaan 90 with a container, preventing the arrival of any ground reinforcements.

"Izo" and his men who already control the southern entrance to the capital with the gang led by "Ti Lapli", now intends to expand their activities and take control of the northern entrance to the metropolitan area (RN#1)

Let's remember that the entire bay of Port-au-Prince has already been under the control of armed gangs for more than a year, including that of "Izo" but also those of Ti Gabriel, "Chen Mechan", those of Canaan and the G9 snack of "Barbecue".
