A consular source who spoke to the Spanish news agency EFE, said that due to the wave of violence that has intensified in recent weeks in Port-au-Prince, France has ordered the withdrawal of close to the diplomats from its Embassy in Haiti.

This same source adds that it was also decided to close the Lycée français de Port-au-Prince...

In response to questions from EFE, the French Embassy refused to make official statements, confirming or denying the withdrawal of relatives of diplomats stationed in Haiti...
