Haiti - FLASH : Good news for the regularization of Haitians in Argentina

In a Notice to the Haitian Community in Argentina, the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in Buenos Aires, informs the Haitian community that following the information concerning the difficulties of some Haitian nationals to obtain from the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) an extract of their criminal record, essential to regularize their legal status in Argentina, Guy Métayer, the Charge d'Affaires ai of the Embassy contacted the Directorate of the DCPJ.

According to the information obtained, the problem arises from the fact that the biometric reader used by the DCPJ can not correctly read the fingerprints taken by the Argentine Federal Police because of the incompatibility between the machines used.

To solve this problem once and for all, it was decided with the DCPJ, to establish a new format that will allow the reading of fingerprints.

Faced with this technical problem, independent of the will of the Embassy, all compatriots who find themselves in this situation are invited to resume the procedures, without any cost, in order to obtain their extract of criminal record.

Let's hope that this solution can also be applied to Haitians in Chile, many of whom are threatened with deportation, who are also unable to obtain the same document, probably for similar reasons. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28187-haiti-flash-thousands-of-haitians-in-chile-at-risk-of-deportation.html
