Haiti - Elections : The Dominicans could come observe our elections

Monday, Roberto Rosario Márquez, President of the JCE "Junta Central Electoral" Dominican, said that the JCE was ready to send an electoral observation mission in Haiti for the next elections scheduled for October 9, provided that the Council Provisional electoral (CPE) of Haiti formula an invitation to that effect.

"The JCE has no objection to be represented as observers at these elections, because the Haitian CEP sent a delegation to observe the general elections in the Dominican Republic on May 15 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17439-haiti-elections-3-cep-advisers-in-dominican-republic.html " explained Rosario, who claims to have opened a channel of cooperation with the Embassy of Haiti in the Dominican Republic.

Furthermore on a different subject, Rosario reported that the JCE and the Ministry of Interior and Police (MIP), worked to develop a protocol that will allow the regularization and documentation of people who have applied to the

National Plan for Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE) so that they are equipped with their residence ID card in immigration category that was assigned to them. "In the coming days we will inform the mechanisms for implementation," he precised.
