In the presence of the Principal, teachers, students, former directors and members of the friendly of alumni, the Head of State, former of that establishment https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-17091-icihaiti-flash-invitation-to-all-alumni-of-the-lycee-alexandre-petion.html , addressed the students, urging them to do honor to the country, as well as teaching staff whose conviction and the quality of education has indeed allowed many Haitians generations of young people to reach the summit in many areas.
"1816-2016, 200 years since the Lycée Pétion produce qualified human resources to Haiti. 1976-2016, 40 years since the Lycée Pétion allowed me to serve my country [...] This establishment is a maker of presidents, 46 presidents of 57 were students of the Lycée Pétion which represents 80% of our Heads of State, is the largest laboratory of intellectuals of the country," proudly stated the Head of State who took advantage of his visit to provide an overview on its path as a young of modest origin, which led to the helm of the state "thanks to education".
In his address, the Principal, Professor Mathurin Nicolas, whilst extolling the leadership of Lycée in youth training, urged the students to discipline, one of the keys to success.
