Haiti - FLASH : New electoral violence in Petit-Goâve

Saturday, Germain Fils Alexandre, the candidate for deputy of Petit-Goâve under the banner "VERITE" denounced the attack he and his team have suffered. He accuses Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon candidate for his own succession under the banner of PHTK Party to be responsible.

"Returning, Saturday afternoon of electoral campaign to Allègue, a locality in the 10th section of Palmes, my team and I, we were attacked by Thimoléon and its supporters on the road of Palmes [...] The vehicles of Thimoléon have prevented us from passing. His men attacked mine who suffered stoning... My car and motorcycles of my sympathizers and of my supporters were damaged by stones."

Condemn all forms of violence, the candidate of VERITE demand justice and the police to take responsibility for successful elections in Petit-Goâve.
